Job Title: E2E Quality Assurance Specialist (071-BA-176)

Location: Bangalore

The E2E Quality Team as part of the Content & Innovation Team is responsible for the quality assurance, testing, and improvements of new and current software solutions as well as the related databases and production workflows. The E2E QA Specialist will be responsible for testing processes in an end-to-end workflow to ensure correct data transformations and enrichment of data from various sources (patent offices, journals) into a customer-facing data platform. This includes reviewing and testing the original data sources as well as the enriched data displayed to the customer and the ability to access this data via web-based front-end and underlying servers. You will therefore work closely together with members of various teams, including software development, product management and subject matter experts in an agile project to define quality standards and procedures to ensure high quality for our products.

Eligibility Criteria:

  •  Bachelor, Master or Ph.D. or in the broader life sciences area (e.g., Chemistry, Cheminformatics or Bioinformatics)
  • 4-6 years working experience or excellent credentials
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills, able to quickly understand complex processes
  • Solid understanding of databases (e.g., SQL), data analysis and data workflows
  • Good understanding of data formats (e.g., XML, JSON, Parquet)
  • Good knowledge in software testing (Web-based applications and databases)
  • Good programming skills (e.g. Perl, Java, KNIME) to create advanced insights into data
  • Knowledge of bug tracking software (e.g., JIRA)
  • Knowledge of current software development methodologies (e.g. Scrum) is a plus
  • Familiarity with the basic functionality of automated software testing is a plus
  • Cooperative, service-minded and pro-active approach to work with colleagues
  • Good communication and documentation skills (English) working in a truly international team
