Objective:
- To develop new crop protection active ingredient innovations that meet farmers’ needs and society’s demand for sustainable solutions.
- To lead a team of highly talented laboratory chemists in state of the art facilities.
- To drive challenging and highly multidisciplinary projects by collaboration with diverse teams of specialists in a global environment.
Main Tasks:
- Leading laboratory team, ensuring highest safety standards, complying with legal and internal regulations.
- Designing new molecules that meet biological and regulatory requirements.
- Securing corresponding Intellectual Property rights.
- Staying abreast of technical developments in own research field. Monitoring and assessing market trends and competitors’ activities.
- Actively developing own know-how, disseminating existing and newly acquired knowledge to appropriate functions.
- Generating Innovation ideas and recommendations.
- Initiating and leading market-/customer-focused projects within multidisciplinary international research teams. Managing projects, from project planning to execution and termination. Establishing and extending contacts with internal and external scientific partners.
Education:
PhD, Post Doc (ideally at least one in an overseas university) in Organic Chemistry, Chemical Biology, or equivalent
Experience in active ingredient discovery, medicinal chemistry or biology are an advantage. Minimum 3 years of experience.
