A three-year postdoctoral fellowship on protein self-assembly and aggregation for biomaterials is available from December 1st, 2018 or soon thereafter at the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Copenhagen (KU) in Denmark.
Project Title: “Protein Superstructures as Smart Biomaterials (ProSmart)”

Job Description:
- The Postdoc´s duties will primarily include research, including obligations with regard to publication/scientific communication, grant writing, proposal writing for experiments at large-scale facilities, PhD and MSc students co-supervisions within the area of protein biophysics and aggregation, and research-based teaching.
- The successful applicant will specifically work on the analysis of a variety of protein aggregate structures, with the aim of providing a connection between inter-protein interactions, kinetics of aggregate growth, aggregate structures and physicochemical properties. He/she will work closely with a biophysicist/biochemist PhD student (focusing on protein aggregation kinetics) and, lately in the project, with a cell biologist Postdoc (mainly focusing on the application of the different protein self-assembled structures as efficient delivery systems of biologically-relevant compounds). All these projects will also benefit of the existing projects currently running in the group (1 Postdoc and 2 PhD students).

Duration: The terms of employment and payment are according to the agreement between the Ministry of Finance and The Danish Confederation of Professional Associations on Academics in the State.
