Role Purpose
To Perform the Jobs designated by the Line Manager Procedure Research According to the Group priorities and to Provide Outcomes efficiently.
Accountabilities
- To plan and do the organic reactions on daily basis and complete projects according to the agreed aims and milestones.
- To help the Line Manager in conducting the lab effectively.
- To maintain the lab equipments and resources.
- To maintain maximum standards of HSE including lab housekeeping.
- To have the ability to interact with colleagues at other study sites as and if demanded.
- To examine and report outcomes to the Line Manager.
- To document and precise documentation of the responses result in ELN.
- To Keep complete confidentiality of Syngenta intellectual property
Qualifications
Knowledge, abilities & experience
Experience
- PhD with or without expertise
- MSc having experience of 3-4 years at a synthetic organic chemistry laboratory.
- Awareness of named organic reactions and mechanisms.
- Well versed in doing different organic reactions viz; C-C and C-N bond creation (Heterocycle), oxidation, reduction, protection/deprotection of organic functionalities, moisture and air sensitive reactions.
- Understanding of HSE facets as applicable to functioning in chemistry lab.
- Awareness of utilizing scientific literature tools.
- Great verbal and written communication skills, ability to document and report scientific results in a transparent manner, ability to work in cross cultural atmosphere.

Education / Qualifications: M.Sc. Or PhD in Organic Chemistry from a trusted institution
