Applications are invited for engagement of bonafide Indian citizen in the following position, tenable at CSIR-CGCRI, Kolkata as per details furnished below:
Job Title : Research Associate –I

Project Title : “Development of a Replicative, Rapid, Net Shape Manufacturing Process for precision Glass Optics”
Stipend : Rs.36000/- + HRA p.m
Tenure : Initially for 6 months, likely to be upto 15.06.2020 depending upon the satisfactory performance of the candidate or Co-terminus with the duration of the project, whichever is earlier
Age Limit : 35 Years The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/Women/Physically Handicapped.
Qualifications:
- Essential – ME/M.Tech. Mechanical/Chemical/Ceramic/ Metallurgy & Materials or equivalent/B/Production/ Laser Science/Laser Tech/Laser Engg. or equivalent/Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics & Communication Engg or equivalent with 3 years of experience after obtaining the above mentioned degree with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal.

- Ph.D in Science (Physics/Chemistry) or Ph.D in Engg.(Mechanical/Chemical/ / Metallurgy & Materials or equivalent /Production/ Laser Science/Laser Tech/Laser Engg. or equivalent /Nanotechnology/Nanoscience/Nanoengineering or equivalent//Electronics & Instrumentation/Electronics & Communication Engg or equivalent

Incomplete applications without prescribed format and supporting documents will be summarily rejected. Candidate(s) with results awaited will not be eligible. CSIR-CGCRI reserves the right not to fill up the position (s), if it is so desired by the Competent Authority, who may increase/decrease the number of position, as per the requirement of the project. The above mentioned position is purely on contractual basis. There is no provision of re-employment after expiry of contract period. In case of large number of applications received for the above position, the Competent Authority may fix parameters for shortlisting the candidates. The Short-listed candidates will be called for Interview at a later date. Mere fulfilling the minimum educational qualification does not make the candidate eligible for engagement. The selected candidates shall have no right/claim for regular appointment at this Institute. The decision of the Institute shall be final in this regard. Canvassing in any form will lead to cancellation of candidature. Interim enquiries in this respect will not be entertained.
