Job Role
As an Apprentice Process Engineer, you will be involved in preparing process designs for clean water treatment, wastewater treatment, chemical dosing systems, sludge treatment, and odour and septicity treatment. The work includes process selection, process calculations, site layout preparation, Process Flow Diagrams, mass balance calculations, Process & Instrumentation Diagrams, and process control philosophy development.
You will also contribute to technical report writing across all stages of the project lifecycle, collaborate with multidisciplinary
teams, and support innovative ideas within engineering projects. This position is well-suited for candidates seeking Chemical Engineering Jobs and early-career Process Engineer roles with strong learning exposure.Responsibilities
As a Graduate Process Engineer, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Preparation of Process design for:
- Clean water treatment (includes DAF, RGFs, disinfection, membrane filtration, etc).
- Wastewater treatment (includes ASP, TF, RBC, SBR, SAF, MBBR, MBR, etc).
- Chemical dosing system for various applications (includes P removal, pH adjustment, etc).
- Sludge treatment (includes Centrifuge, Filter press, Thickener, etc).
- Odour and septicity treatment.
The above design comprises the:
- Selection of process and process calculations,
- Preparation of site layout,
- Process Flow Diagram & Mass Balance Calculations,
- Process & Instrumentation Diagrams,
- Process control philosophy,
- Technical report writing at all stages of the project lifecycle.
Requirements
- B. Tech in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- Possess good communication and soft skills, and be able to function independently with
- Minimal supervision or as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Some knowledge of industry, best practices, or regulatory standards, regulations, and codes pertinent to the Water Industry.
