Job Summary

IFF is now seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual to join our Production Team as Trainee Executive.
Your Focus
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the ingredient qualification process and the maintenance of risk mitigation programs across IFF’s global operations. This position focuses on evaluating raw materials for contaminants and ensuring compliance with quality standards in food manufacturing. Success in this role requires attention to detail, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive approach to evolving global risk strategies.
Skills Required:
- Support and Maintain Risk Programs: Provide ongoing support for internal and vendor-facing risk mitigation initiatives, ensuring program consistency and effectiveness.
- System Testing Participation: Assist in user acceptance testing for critical systems to validate updates and ensure smooth functionality.
- Ingredient Review Administration: Monitor inboxes related to ingredient reviews and integrate query resolution into daily workflows with the Risk Mitigation team.
- Timely Inquiry Response: Address internal and external inquiries promptly to maintain efficient communication and workflow.
- Process Implementation & Vendor Engagement: Execute work processes and collaborate with external vendors for accurate data collection and system updates.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Global Quality, Procurement, and Regulatory to align on risk mitigation strategies.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process enhancement and propose innovative solutions to improve global efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related life science discipline.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational capabilities.
- Proficient in both written and verbal communication, with an emphasis on technical clarity.
- Self-driven and innovative, able to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Demonstrates solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1–2 years of relevant experience (training will be provided).
- Skilled in SAP and Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel for handling large datasets; familiarity with SharePoint is a plus.
- Understanding of food safety and quality standards such as cGMP, FSMA, and microbiological principles.
- Proactive in identifying and implementing improvements in systems, processes, and workflows.
Working Conditions & Scope
- Reports to the Risk Mitigation Manager; no direct supervisory responsibilities.
- Agile work model with flexibility to work remotely or from a local office.
- Must be available for late meetings with teams based in Europe and the United States.
