Educational Requirements for Technical Reviewer Job Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Natural Sciences, Physical Sciences, or Engineering required.
- Master’s degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, Natural or Physical Sciences, or Engineering preferred.
- College-level coursework in inorganic and organic chemistry is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities for Technical Reviewer Job Role:
- Conduct routine and complex technical reviews of product design, function, materials, and documentation.
- Verify testing, evaluation, and documentation meet NSF 61 standard requirements and certification policies.
- Approve changes to certified products and determine testing requirements for performance and material extraction.
- Interpret standards for new products and determine testing or evaluation schemes.
- Evaluate root cause, corrective action, and preventative measures for non-compliances.
- Communicate technical issues to clients and internal staff.
- Support new business development through technical discussions and project quotation approvals.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and standards development activities.
- Assist Technical Lead in workflow management and daily operations.
Skills Required for Technical Reviewer Job Role:
- High technical aptitude and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in chemistry studies, mechanical/structural integrity evaluations, or toxicology studies.
- Strong workflow management in fast-paced environments.
