Job Details
- Position: Process Development Scientist (Process R&D)
- Location: Bangalore, KA, India – 560099
- Department: Chemical Development – Process R&D
Education & Experience
- Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry (premier Indian or international institute).
- 2–3 years post-doctoral experience plus 3–5 years of industrial process research experience, preferably in contract research organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct 1–2 experiments daily in the lab and provide scientific leadership.
- Manage resources to ensure high productivity and quality of development work.
- Develop safe, scalable, and cost-effective chemical processes for pilot and commercial manufacturing.
- Drive automation initiatives in PRD (jacketed reactors, dosing pumps, probes).
- Provide creative, science-based solutions to technical problems.
- Lead development programs independently and prepare high-quality research reports.
- Represent Syngene in customer audioconferences, ensuring clear communication.
- Define SMART goals in safety, process optimization, and scale-up activities.
- Execute scale-up activities with 100% compliance with safety, quality, and data integrity.
- Identify training needs within the team and align them to development plans.
Safety & Integrity Commitment
- Ensure 100% compliance with EHS and data integrity standards.
- Report at least one near-miss or observation annually and share learnings.
- Complete all assigned mandatory safety and data integrity training on time.
- Follow Kavach standards and maintain high safety awareness at all times.
