Key Responsibilities for Laboratory Chemist

Provide chemical and microbiology analysis support using official test methods.

Work in chemical lab and ETP/STP for water analysis.

Ensure analytical testing meets ISO/IEC 17025 and company standards.

Implement quality control to align with company policies and practices.
Quality Execution
-
Test/analyze ingredients, intermediates, finished products for compliance.
-
Perform sensory evaluations and organoleptic tests as Laboratory Chemist.
-
Use HPLC, spectroscopy, and other modern techniques.
-
Daily water and wastewater sampling/analysis.
-
Manage chemical inventory, calibration, and audit data.
-
Conduct equipment capability studies, participate in proficiency testing.
-
Ensure equipment calibration, maintenance as per ISO/IEC 17025.

Prepare sampling/testing plans and perform risk assessments.
Quality Assurance
-
Ensure manufacturing follows company guidelines.

Maintain and analyze ETP/STP/WTP records as Laboratory Chemist.
-
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17025, ISO 22000, PAS 220.

Implement GLP, safety programs, corrective actions.
-
Support audits, SOP writing, documentation reviews.
Internal & External Interactions
-
Work with QA, manufacturing, warehouse, and process teams.

Coordinate with global labs, suppliers, vendors, third-party labs.
Supervisory Responsibilities
-
Monitor GLP, GMP activities as Laboratory Chemist.

Supervise contractor/visitor compliance.
Required Qualifications
-
M.Sc. in Chemistry / Biochemistry / Analytical Chemistry / Food Science.
-
3-4 years in QC or lab roles in food, healthcare, or pharma.

Knowledge of chemical, microbiological, environmental analysis as Laboratory Chemist.
-
Hands-on with instruments (GC, LC, IC, AA, FTNIR, PCR).
-
Experience with ISO 17025, 9001, FSSC 22000.

Strong LIMS, SAP, MS Office, Power BI skills.
Working Conditions

Lab environment with exposure to chemicals under GLP standards.
