Job Summary:
The Institute invites applications from Indian nationals for the following position purely on a contract basis:
Position Details:
- Name of the post: “Research Associate-1”
- Title of the Project: Exploring Optical Activity in Intrinsically Chiral Plasmonic Nanostructures: Bridging Nanoscale Design with Enantioselective Applications
- Research Area: Experimental and theoretical investigations of chiral molecules and nanomaterials
- Principal Investigator: Dr. Jatish Kumar
- Project Code: ANRF (Project Code – 30225242)
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in any area of Chemistry or related subjects
- Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of a Ph.D. degree may also apply.
- Candidates should provide evidence of having conducted high-quality research during or after their Ph.D. program.
- Desirable qualities: Experience in Metal and Organic Nanomaterial Synthesis and Characterization. Basic knowledge in Photophysical and Chiroptical investigations and Theoretical Simulations is preferred.
- Fellowship:
- Rs.58,000 /-p.m. + 10% HRA if the candidate produces the Ph.D. Certificate.
- Rs.42,000 /-p.m. +10% HRA – for those candidates whose Ph. D. degree is awaited. However, the candidate must produce a letter from a competent authority stating that the thesis has been submitted and the final viva/defense is pending. A nominal research grant will be available under this program.

- Tenure: The position is temporary for one year, with an extension for six months after the performance review.
- Age: Not more than 35 years as of the closing date of the advertisement.
