About the Job
- Develop, implement, and manage multiple projects simultaneously by creating project timelines, ensuring adherence to customer requirements, and presenting results to customers.
- Design testing methodologies aligned with material development to characterize the physical and thermal properties of polymers.
- Perform data analysis and interpret results to support material evaluation and decision-making.
- Prepare, develop, implement, and interpret test procedures in accordance with ASTM, customer, and other industry standard specifications.
- Conduct and support product failure analysis investigations to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
- Perform benchmarking activities with other laboratories to verify competency and maintain laboratory accreditation.
- Prepare technical reports and presentations summarizing testing methodologies, results, and conclusions.
- Stay updated on relevant technical developments, including new testing methods and emerging technologies in the market.
- Develop new industry test methods where existing standards are not available.
- Build technical skills and capabilities to provide support and expertise to team members and other stakeholders.
- Actively participate in Continuous Improvement, Preventive Action, and Corrective Action initiatives related to testing, reporting, and laboratory management systems.
- Ensure general upkeep, organization, and maintenance of laboratory equipment and facilities.
- Maintain compliance with quality, safety, environmental, and customer-mandated procedures.
Requirements
Education & Experience
- A bachelor’s degree in science or a Diploma in a relevant scientific field, such as Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline, is required.
- Prior laboratory experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills are essential.
- Technical writing skills are required for preparing reports and documentation.
- Knowledge or experience in 5S and Lean practices is considered an added advantage.
