Applications Invited for Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at IIT Hyderabad

  • Position: Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (ChE/Coal Beneficiation) under CLEANZ CoE
  • Project Focus: Multi-phase Modelling of Particulate Systems in Coal Preparation
  • Type of Position: The position is for eleven months, with an extension subject to performance through a review process.
  • Fellowship: Consolidated pay Rs. 70,680 to Rs 85,000 per month (including HRA) based on post-doc experience.
  • Experience: Fresh Ph.D. (at least provisional degree certificate awarded) / preferably with some post-doc Experience

Eligibility:

  • Ph.D. with BE/BTech/Equivalent in Chemical Engg./Metallurgical Engg./Mining Engg or Ph.D. with M.Tech/MS in Chemical Engg./Metallurgical Engg./Mining Engg related to clean coal technology research.
  • Should have Multi-phase flow modelling & Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experience during the PhD
  • Publication in Scopus-indexed journals will have an added advantage.
  • The candidate should have good academic records throughout and good writing/communication skills.
  • Candidates should not have published in Predatory Journals.

Job Description:

  • To develop a definite research product/outcome with TRL 5/6 Level with scale-up scope.
  • Review of relevant literature and coordinate the work with the team.
  • Experience in handling industrial-scale numerical simulations and validation.
  • Report preparation, article writing, and lab management.
  • Interaction with sponsored agencies, traveling for project execution (if needed), etc.

  • Different computational approaches to model particulate flows of Mineral industries /coal washeries.
  • New knowledge/ technology solutions in Clean coal technologies
