Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a time-bound research project for a temporary period, purely on a contractual basis as per the following details:
- Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

- Project Title: Synthesis and Assessment of Novel Fused β-Carbolines for Treating Chronic Pain
- Department: Department of Biological and Synthetic Chemistry
- Project Tenure: 03 Yrs./Co-terminus with the project
- Job Description: To synthesize chemical compounds with the objective of preparing chemical libraries for biological activity, following contemporary synthetic organic chemistry
- Essential Qualification: MSc Organic Chemistry/Chemistry with Organic Chemistry as ma ajor with 55% marks and passing of NET/GATE test.
- Desirable Qualification: The Applicant should have a good academic track record. Candidates who have done project work during MSc/or summer internship and are well versed with working in a laboratory will be preferred
- Age Limit: 28 Yrs.
- Age Relaxation: The upper age limit is relaxable by up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/Tribes/OBC, women, and physically handicapped candidates.
- Fellowship: ₹37,000/- per month for first year and second year and ₹42,000/- per month for third year + HRA (20%)
