Job Responsibilities:
- Abide by safe operating procedures within the operating range
- Emergency Response: Act as a first responder to emergencies
- Safety Improvements: Suggest safety improvements
- Handling Materials: Safe handling of hazardous materials and plant wastes
- Housekeeping: Contribute to housekeeping
- Contract Workmen Support: Support contract workmen in safe working conditions
- Field Equipment Monitoring: Monitor and control field equipment as per SOPs, SOCs, LLF checklist, and ODR instruments
- Coordination: Coordinate the shift superintendent/panel executive closely
- Sample Collection: Collect and deliver samples from the field for laboratory testing
- Reporting: Report promptly any abnormal observations to the shift engineer/panel executive
- Equipment Handover: Handover/takeover of equipment from maintenance
- Condition Monitoring: Perform condition monitoring using portable instruments (ODR)
- Troubleshooting: Perform minor troubleshooting
- Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance
- Waste Reduction: Contribute towards the reduction of waste /handling of chemicals
- Efficient Operation: Operate equipment efficiently
- Improvement Suggestions: Identify and suggest opportunities for improvement
- Safety Guidelines: Follow the latest safety guidelines, management guidelines like TQM, EFQM, QCC, 5S, etc.
- Shift Logs: Maintain shift logs for the respective area/equipment
- Instructions: Follow instructions received from the shift superintendent/engineer/panel officer
- Fire Squad: Member of the Auxiliary Fire Squad
Education Requirement:
B.Sc. / M.Sc. or Diploma in Chemical Engineering

Skills & Competencies:
- Good housekeeping
- Upkeep of Fire and Safety equipment in his area
- Field logbook / LLF checklist
- Segregation of waste
- Maintain equipment health through LLF and report equipment abnormalities
- Fulfillment of identified training needs for self
