- Job Title: Scientific Manager – Synthesis

Responsibilities
- Ensure efficient delivery of compounds through scientific guidance to the team:
- Provide scientific guidance to team members and troubleshoot for efficient delivery of projects
- Identify, evaluate, and design synthetic routes and reaction parameters
- Guide the team on process optimization & development and yield improvement, resulting in cost-effective solutions and execution
- Monitor project progress to ensure adherence to quality standards/timelines
- Guide the team on the usage of advanced analytical techniques
- Make weekly and final project reports
- Examine and sign the lab notebooks and data cards of the team
- Build client relationships by delivering a superior client experience:
- Understand client requirements and regularly communicate with the client to manage expectations
- Provide periodic project updates on productivity and quality to the client
- Take appropriate action on the client’s feedback
- Ensure safety at work through the enforcement of good laboratory practices:
- Ensure compliance and train the team members for safety protocols
- Identify and mitigate potential safety risks
- Guide and train the team on the usage of equipment/apparatus/instruments as per SOPs and general housekeeping norms
- Maintain records, data integrity, and IP confidentiality:
- Train team on LNB documentation, Data, and IP Confidentiality as per norms
- Ensure accuracy of LNB records updated by team and audit based on client’s requirement
- Implement data confidentiality through adequate controls
- Ensure high morale and skill development of self and team:
- Train & develop team members through knowledge sharing sessions and nominate for training programs
- Regularly review the performance of the team
- Assess the readiness of employees for project allocation
- Recognize the best performers through various reward & recognition programs
Required Educational Qualification & Relevant Experience
Ph.D. / PDF (Organic/ Medicinal Chemistry) with 3 – 6 years of relevant experience
Additional Requirements
Candidates with their research publications in leading journals would be preferred.
