Project Details:

  • Project Title: Portable Diagnostic Kit for Early Detection of Kidney Stones via Enzyme Biomarker Sensing in Urine
  • Duration: 01 year
  • Principal Investigator: Prof. Amrita Chatterjee (Dept of Chemistry)
  • Co-Principal Investigators: Prof. Malabika Biswas (Dept of Biological Sciences); Prof. Nitin Sharma (Department of EEE); Dr. Paresh Mahabal (Deputy CMO), BITS Pilani, KK Birla Goa Campus
  • Research areas: Chemical Synthesis, Molecular Sensors, Diagnostic Devices
  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc./ M.S. (or equivalent degree) with 60% aggregate (equivalent CGPA) in Organic Chemistry/General Chemistry/Materials Science/etc.
  • Desirable Qualification: Experience in chemical synthesis
  • Fellowship: ₹25,000 per month consolidated

Scope of Work:

  • Primary role: Synthesis of nanosensor-based colorimetric probes
  • Other roles: Sensing kits and diagnostic device development
