Minimum Qualifications:
Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from a recognized University / Institute.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Synthetic Organic/Organometallic Chemistry and Asymmetric Synthesis/Catalysis.
Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of a Ph.D. degree may also apply.
Candidates should provide evidence of having conducted high-quality research during or after their Ph.D. program.
Fellowship:
Rs. 58000/- p.m. + 9% HRA if the candidate produces a Ph.D. Certificate.
Rs. 42000 /- p.m. + 9% HRA – for those candidates whose Ph. D. degree is awaited. However, the candidate must produce a letter from a competent authority stating that the thesis has been submitted and the final viva/defense is pending. A nominal research grant will be available under this program.

Tenure: The position is temporary for one year and may be extended based on the candidate’s performance or will co-terminate with the project.

General Information / Details About the Post:
The appointment is purely temporary and will terminate automatically without any notice or compensation on termination of the research project or performance.
The appointed person shall have no claim of appointment/absorption in the Funding Agency or in IISER Tirupati.
The applicant’s appointment will be governed by the terms and conditions of the funding agency, particularly those applicable to the said project.
The qualification prescribed should have been obtained from recognized Universities / Institutions.
The prescribed educational qualifications are the bare minimum, and mere possession of the same does not entitle candidates to be called for an interview. Where the number of applications received in response to this advertisement is large, it will not be convenient or possible to interview all the candidates. Based on the recommendations of the Screening Committee, the Project Leader may restrict the number of candidates for the interview to a reasonable limit after taking into consideration the qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement. Therefore, it will be in the candidates’ interest to list all qualifications and experience in the relevant field at the time of application.
Selected candidates will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
