The 3M Commercial Solutions Division delivers comprehensive branding and graphic solutions across Banking
, Rail, Fleet, Facilities, and other major verticals. 3M Graphic Markets uses advanced materials and technology to provide solutions offering durability, reliability, and premium visual impact.The division also provides training and services to help channel partners and customers use 3M products effectively. As an Application Engineer, you will support customers, generate product specifications, and provide technical guidance backed by 3M’s strong warranty and innovation-driven ecosystem. The role blends travel, training, technical expertise, and customer interaction — ideal for those interested in hands-on technical and Manufacturing Jobs.
Responsibilities
- Understand in depth 3M’s offering and apply that knowledge to help achieve divisional objectives.
- Meeting brand owners, channel partners, printers, and customers, guiding them with the right product and generating specifications to help them procure the appropriate material.
- Training customers, channel partners, and applicators to use and apply 3M products correctly.
- Lead technical engagement with key customers and channel partners.
- Travel domestically, focused on the south and, if required, across India.
- Work at customer locations and sites.
- Deliver training and communication effectively to a broad audience ranging from workers at construction sites to customer management in boardrooms.
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Be a team player and work in collaboration with 3M employees and channel partners.
Qualifications: A graduate or postgraduate preferably in Polymer Science / Chemistry / Material Science background with the following qualities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Know about self-adhesive films, polymer chemistry, and formulations
- Strong planning and organization skills.
- Ability to understand technical subject matter or willingness to learn.
- Proficient with PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other related software programs.
