Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for CRO services including clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory support.
  • Lead supplier selection, RFx processes, QCS, contract negotiations, & Awarding.
  • Work closely with CRO Procurement, Global R&D stakeholders, Regional Regulatory, Business & Finance to ensure all project/budget requirements and schedules are met.
  • Manage the PR to PO process & Experience in managing sourcing projects.
  • An expert in Market Intelligence as a monitor of market trends and the current situation.
  • Identify inefficiencies in CRO procurement workflows and implement process enhancements.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives (e.g., Ivalua, Ariba) to automate sourcing and contract management.
  • Promote standardization and best practices across global R&D procurement.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Partner with R&D, Agrochemical Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to align procurement activities with business goals.
  • Act as a procurement advisor for clinical development teams during project planning and execution.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Manage global CRO partnerships to ensure service quality, compliance, and performance.
  • Conduct regular supplier business reviews and performance evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for CRO services, including clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, and regulatory studies.
  • Lead supplier selection, RFx processes, QCS evaluations, contract negotiations, and awarding.
  • Partner with R&D and finance teams to ensure all project and budget goals are met.
  • Implement workflow improvements to strengthen procurement efficiency and compliance.
  • Support digital transformation initiatives to enhance automation and transparency.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Collaborate with R&D, Agro Chemical Operations, Legal, and Finance teams.
  • Provide procurement guidance to clinical and chemical research teams during project execution.

Supplier Relationship Management

  • Manage global supplier relationships to ensure service quality and compliance.
  • Conduct business reviews and performance analysis to maintain excellence.

Knowledge & Data Management

  • Build and maintain a data repository of market intelligence, supplier capabilities, and emerging trends in Capex procurement.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine procurement strategies and optimize supplier performance.

Technical Skills Requirements:

  • Mandatory: Proficiency in Ivalua & SAP for procurement and Coordination with CRO’s.
  • Strong understanding of the QCS concept.
  • Experience in managing sourcing projects, creating RFX, QCS, Awarding, and conducting reverse auctions.
  • Proven expertise in handling CRO Procurement for R&D and Regulatory services.
