Job Description
The Engineer – Wastewater and Recycling will develop and optimize recycling processes and wastewater treatment systems for First Solar’s facilities worldwide. This role requires hands-on experience in chemical process development, mechanical system design, and R&D-based innovation. You’ll work with global teams to execute pilot plant trials, perform process optimization, and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Experience
- 1–5 years of experience in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Process Development.
- Exposure to wastewater treatment, R&D process improvement, or solar module recycling preferred.
- Knowledge of chemical process design, data analysis, and material handling systems.
- Experience in project management, managing scope, cost, and schedule in engineering projects.
Required Skills
- Develop and implement recycling and wastewater treatment processes.
- Conduct chemical process R&D and process optimization studies to enhance performance.
- Perform material balance and data analysis for process improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams for pilot plant experiments.
- Troubleshoot chemical process issues and lead design modifications.
- Manage vendor selection, detailed design reviews, and project execution.
- Ensure quality control, safety, and environmental compliance at all stages.
- Support new process development initiatives to improve system efficiency.
