Research Associate Job Opportunity
As a Research Associate at Birla Carbon, you will perform sample preparation, mixing, and testing for QA, Technical Service, Quality Complaints, and New
Product Development. This position is ideal for professionals seeking chemistry jobs that blend analytical precision with technical problem-solving. As part of Birla Carbon Careers, you’ll help maintain the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and compliance in laboratory operations.Key Responsibilities
- Safely execute analyses using established lab procedures to produce accurate test results.
- Conduct mixing and testing of samples per test plans and maintain complete test records.
- Manage and coordinate preventive maintenance, calibrations, and service for all lab instruments.
- Accurately enter and report lab data through LIMS and maintain documentation for QA compliance.
- Support ISO-17025 quality systems by maintaining impartiality, confidentiality, and traceability.
- Participate in QMS and internal/external audits to ensure laboratory compliance.
- Strictly follow lab safety and environmental protocols; actively engage in safety audits.
- Maintain lab organization and sample storage under 5S standards.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience in mixing and testing inks, coatings, and plastics, using multiple test methods.
- Strong foundation in chemistry and polymer science with proficiency in LIMS and ISO systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage workloads and changing priorities efficiently.
- Experience in QA and chemistry jobs within research or production labs preferred.
Education & Experience
- Diploma in Polymer Science, Colloidal Science, or Chemistry.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in plastics or chemical materials testing.
- Understanding of laboratory safety, analytical testing, and quality control procedures.
