Applications are invited from qualified candidates to work on the following project: “Digitization of Indian Traditional Practices on Minerals, Metals, Materials, and Allied Areas” (HCP522403)
These positions are purely temporary, time-bound, and project-based. The engagement will continue until 31st March 2026, with the option to extend until 31st March 2027, based on project progress. The work location is New Delhi.
A panel of waitlisted candidates will be maintained for one year from the date of results or until the project’s completion, whichever occurs earlier.
Eligibility Criteria

- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Materials Engineering / Materials Science & Engineering / Mineral Engineering / Chemical Engineering OR Master’s / Integrated Master’s Degree in Material Science / Chemistry or equivalent.

Monthly Emoluments
Project Associate–I:
- ₹31,000 + HRA (for candidates with CSIR-UGC/ICAR/ICMR/NET, including lectureship or GATE or equivalent national-level qualification)
- ₹25,000 + HRA (for others)
Age Limit: 35 years (relaxable as per CSIR/Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/PwD/Women candidates)
General Instructions
- Apply online at www.csir.res.in by 5:00 PM on 7th November 2025.
- Candidates applying for multiple posts must submit separate applications.
- Applications must include scanned copies of educational certificates, proof of age, experience certificates, reservation category certificates (if applicable), and biodata.
- Applicants must fulfill all criteria as of 7th November 2025.
- The written test/interview will be conducted in-person at CSIR-TKDL, New Delhi, as per the scheduled date.
- Shortlisted candidates will appear for interviews in hybrid mode (online/offline).
- Candidates must bring original certificates, two passport-size photographs, and a set of self-attested copies during the written test.
- Applicants currently employed must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer at the time of joining.
Important Notes
- Meeting the minimum eligibility criteria does not guarantee shortlisting.
- Candidates awaiting final results are not eligible.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the written test/interview.
- Tenure of engagement will be co-terminus with the project and will not exceed six years under any circumstances.
- Engagement is purely contractual and offers no claim for future regularization in CSIR.
- Project staff may be terminated at any time with one month’s notice from either side.
- Reservation and HRA will be applicable in accordance with the Government of India norms.
- The Head of the CSIR-TKDL Unit reserves the full authority to increase/decrease vacancies or cancel vacancies at any stage.
- Participating in any form of canvassing will result in disqualification.
