Requirements
Education & Experience:
- M.Sc. or Bachelor’s degree in Organic Chemistry
- Experience with chemical structure drawing tools (ISISDraw, ChemDraw, BioviaDraw)
- Understanding of drug development processes
Skills:
- Ability to critically evaluate scientific papers and patents
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in English (written & spoken)
- General computer proficiency and adaptability to new software
- Experience with scientific databases (Web of Science, PubChem, Google Scholar, Google Patents)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Effective interpersonal and time management skills
- High motivation, strong work ethic, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

About the Role
Clarivate invites applications for an Associate STEM Content Analyst, an exciting Content Analyst job for candidates passionate about Organic Chemistry job and drug development. The position involves analyzing patents, scientific articles, and meeting abstracts to create and update synthesis schemes for drugs in development. Reporting to the Chemistry Manager, this role offers exposure to a global, multidisciplinary team based in Chennai and Barcelona.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze scientific literature and patents to extract synthesis scheme information
- Create or update synthesis schemes and related data for drugs in advanced development phases
- Summarize information from patents and scientific articles in a structured format
- Follow editorial policies, content analysis schedules, and quality standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to process improvement
Team & Work Environment
- Global Synthesis team with eight members in Chennai and Barcelona
- Hybrid working system (office + digital workplace)
- Full-time permanent position, 8-hour workdays (9:00 am-6:00 pm IST, Monday–Friday)
