Introduction to the Job:
USP Hyderabad is seeking a Scientist I to join its Verification Program. This Scientist I Job role involves performing analytical tests on dietary supplements and ingredients using HPLC, GC, Dissolution, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, and wet analysis. The Scientist will provide technical support, compile project reports, and ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities for Scientist I Job Role:
- Conduct verification projects for dietary supplements and pharmaceutical ingredients.
- Execute analytical tests using HPLC, GC, ICP-MS, ICP-OES, dissolution, and wet analysis.
- Compile and review reports, responding to QA observations.
- Maintain GLP compliance and laboratory safety.
- Coordinate procurement of chemicals, columns, and glassware as per project requirements.
- Support ISO-9001 & ISO-17025 certification audits.
- Assist Global Public Health (GPH) and Reference Standard Laboratory (RSL) teams.
Skills Required for Scientist I Job Role:
- Expertise in HPLC operation using Empower software.
- Proficiency in dissolution analysis and GC operation.
- Knowledge of ICP-OES, ICP-MS, LC-MS, IR, KF, UV, Ion chromatography, wet analysis.
- Experience with compendial methods (USP, BP, EP).
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Familiarity with ICH guidelines, FDA regulations, and Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN).
Educational Requirements for Scientist I Job Role:
- Master’s degree in Pharmacy or Analytical Chemistry.
- 1–3 years of relevant laboratory experience in QC or analytical labs.
