The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati, a premier autonomous institution established by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, invites applications from Indian nationals for the position of Post-Doctoral Research Fellow (PDRF). The recruitment is purely on a contractual basis under the GAIL (India) Ltd – Project code: 30525221.
Research Area: Asymmetric Synthesis, Catalysis & Computational/Theoretical Chemistry
Principal Investigator: Dr. Ekambaram Balaraman
Number of Posts: Two (2)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from a recognized University or Institute.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Asymmetric Synthesis, Catalysis, or Computational/Theoretical Chemistry.
- Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of the Ph.D. degree may also apply.
- Evidence of high-quality research conducted during or after the Ph.D. program is required.
Fellowship:
- ₹65,000/- per month (consolidated) for candidates with one year or more of post-Ph.D. research experience.
- ₹60,000/- per month (consolidated) for candidates who produce a Ph.D. Certificate.
- ₹45,000/- per month (consolidated) for candidates awaiting their Ph.D. degree, with proof of thesis submission.
Tenure: Temporary for six months, extendable by another six months based on performance review.
Age Limit: Not more than 35 years as of the closing date of the advertisement, as per institute norms.
