Eligibility Criteria for Chemistry PhD Admissions 2026
Minimum Qualification:

Master’s Degree (M.Tech/MS/M.Sc.) in relevant discipline with First Class / 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD).

Bachelor’s Degree (B.Tech/BE/BS) in Engineering/Technology or Science with First Class / 60% marks or 6.5 CGPA (55% or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD).
Additional Requirements:
- Regular with Institute Research Fellowship: GATE/ UGC/ CSIR-NET/ NBHM scores required (except M.Tech graduates).
- Individual Fellowship (CSIR/ UGC/ DBT/ ICAR/ INSPIRE): Valid fellowship award letter required.
- Ph.D. through Project: Must be employed in a sponsored project at IIPE with a minimum remaining project duration of 1–3 years, depending on the funding agency.
- Sponsored (External/Part-time): Minimum 1-year employment at PSU, Govt. Department, reputed industry, or academic/research institution. NOC and supervisor biodata required.
- QIP Category: Minimum 1-year teaching experience as full-time permanent faculty. Financial assistance was not provided.
