- Educational Qualification: M.Sc. in Chemical Sciences
- Experience: 3–5 years in pharmaceutical or synthetic chemistry research
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform synthetic chemistry reactions, reaction workups, purification by column chromatography, crystallization, re-crystallization, preparative TLC, and operate lab instruments.
- Ensure that synthesized samples are analyzed, results recorded, and supervisors updated; pack samples appropriately for shipment.
- Record experimental observations, results, and resource utilization in laboratory or e-notebooks, maintaining confidentiality and compliance with guidelines.
- Maintain instruments and equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and report breakdowns immediately.
- Handle chemicals safely, understand MSDS, emergency procedures, and ensure proper waste segregation per EHS norms.
- Prepare SOPs/IOPs/EOPs/OCPs for new or updated lab activities.
- Ensure personal and team safety, adhere to EHS and data integrity policies, and wear PPE as required.
- Run independent projects, establish assays and models, compile data, and prepare study reports.
- Mentor and train other scientists, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and comply with quality standards.
