Project Associate Job under Sustainable Bio Solutions Pvt. Ltd., India Funded Industry Project

Applications are invited for the Project Associate Job in the Department of Chemistry at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, Goa. This opening is part of a Sustainable Bio Solutions Pvt. Ltd. industry-funded research initiative titled “Performance Evaluation of SUSBIO ECOTREAT Advanced Prefabricated Sewage Treatment Plant and IoT System.”

This BITS Pilani Job opportunity offers a hands-on research role focused on sustainable wastewater management. The project involves installing and evaluating a 5 KLD SUSBIO Ecotreat Advanced Packaged Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) at the BITS Pilani Goa Campus. Evaluation methods will include both conventional and IoT-based monitoring of water quality. Tertiary treatment processes will be analyzed for energy efficiency, by-product formation, and compliance with Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) norms.

Duration of the Project: One year, with a six-month performance evaluation.
Highly motivated candidates will have the opportunity to apply for a PhD degree at BITS Pilani, K. K. Birla Goa Campus, making this a valuable step in building a long-term research career at BITS Pilani.

Fellowship Amount: ₹30,000 per month + 16% HRA (if hostel accommodation is not availed).
Accommodation: Hostel accommodation may be provided, subject to availability and institute rules at the time of joining.

Qualification Requirements:
Applicants must hold a Postgraduate Degree in Basic Science (Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology, Geochemistry, Microbiology, or Biotechnology) or a Graduate/Postgraduate Degree in a Professional Course (Chemical Engineering, Environmental Technology, or Biotechnology). They must qualify through one of the following:

  1. Selection through National Eligibility Tests such as CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship), or GATE.
  2. Selection through National level examinations conducted by Central Government departments and agencies like DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, IIT, IISc, IISER, etc.
