Role Overview:
The Sustainability & Wastewater Engineer is responsible for managing and optimizing wastewater treatment operations, hazardous waste handling, and utility systems, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and sustainable practices for pharmaceutical manufacturing.
Core Responsibilities:

Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) Management: Oversee operations, monitor processes, optimize performance, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain accurate log sheets for ETP, MEE, ATFD, and RO systems.

Solid & Hazardous Waste Management: Implement waste disposal procedures per GPCB guidelines, maintain records, ensure segregation, and coordinate with vendors and regulatory bodies.

Utility Handling: Manage distillation plants, chillers, and cooling towers; ensure continuous utility supply; perform preventive maintenance; promote energy efficiency.

Regulatory Compliance & Documentation: Adhere to environmental laws, maintain detailed reports, and prepare documentation for audits and inspections.

Safety & Training: Conduct training for staff, enforce safety protocols, and collaborate with the EHS team for workplace safety improvements.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Chemical Engineering
- Experience: 3–7 years in ETP operations, hazardous waste, and utility handling, preferably in pharmaceuticals.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in wastewater treatment, hazardous waste disposal, and utility systems.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with GPCB regulations and environmental compliance standards.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
