Junior Research Assistant-1

  • No. of position(s): 01
  • Essential Qualification: M.Sc. in Botany/ Plant Science/Environmental Science/ Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry. Candidate must have 1st division in Graduate and Post-graduate level.*Desirable Qualification: Preference may be given to candidates with at least one year of research experience in the relevant area and basic computer skills.Age: 28 years as on 01.04.2025*Stipend: ₹ 25,000/-PM consolidatedProject Name: To study the role of phosphate, aquaporin, and NRAMP transporters on arsenic accumulation in Kalanamak rice (GAP-3529)

Terms & Conditions

  1. Application Form: The Application form will be provided at the venue on the date. However, candidates may download the application form in advance from the website www.nbri.res.in.
  2. Required Documents: At the time of the interview, candidates should bring one latest photograph, original documents, along with a self-attested copy of certificates of examinations passed (starting from matriculation), a certificate indicating date of birth, and an experience certificate, etc. Tentative mark sheets/certificates and ‘result awaited’ will not be considered.
  3. Selection Mode: Selection will be through an Interview. However, if a large number of candidates turn up, a Screening test comprising multiple-choice objective questions may be held for shortlisting the candidates for interview. The panel shall be utilized as and when the requirement arises in the projects in the relevant field/area.
  4. Appointment Terms: The appointment will be co-terminus with the project, subject to satisfactory progress and receipt of funds. The total tenure of project staff in CSIR projects should not exceed 06 years, with certain exceptions.
  5. Age Relaxation: Age relaxation for SC/ST/PwBD/Women is 05 years and for OBC is 03 years (except for the position at Sl. No. 1 of Area II).
  6. Travel Advisory: If a large number of candidates appear, interviews may continue to the next day. Candidates are requested to make their travel plans accordingly.
  7. General Conditions: HRA will be admissible as per the sanction of the projects. The Director, CSIR-NBRI reserves the right to cancel or modify the process without notice. Participating in any form of canvassing will result in disqualification.
  8. No TA/DA will be admissible for MSc Chemistry Jobs at NBRI.
