CPCB Recruitment 2025 – Project Scientist & Associate Posts
The Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change has released the CPCB Recruitment 2025 notification for multiple contractual positions under the Pollution Inventorisation, Assessment, and Surveillance (PIAS) Project on the River Ganga. This project is funded by the National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG) as part of the Namami Gange Programme and is valid until 31st March 2026, with the possibility of extension.

Senior Project Associate
- Age Limit: 40 years
- Posts: 06 (Delhi – 3, Lucknow – 1, Kolkata – 2)
- Salary: ₹42,000 + HRA
- Qualification: Master’s in Science (Environmental Science/Chemistry/GIS & Remote Sensing) or B.Tech in Civil/Chemical/Environmental Engineering with 4 years’ experience OR PhD in a relevant field.

Project Scientist – I
- Age Limit: 35 years
- Posts: 06 (Delhi – 3, Lucknow – 2, Kolkata – 1)
- Salary: ₹56,000 + HRA
- Qualification: PhD in Science (Environmental Science/Chemistry/GIS & Remote Sensing) OR Master’s in Engineering (Civil/Chemical/Environmental Engineering/Environmental Management of Rivers & Lakes).

Project Scientist – II
- Age Limit: 40 years
- Posts: 05 (Delhi – 2, Lucknow – 1, Kolkata – 2)
- Salary: ₹67,000 + HRA
- Qualification: PhD in Science (Environmental Science/Chemistry/GIS & Remote Sensing) OR Master’s in Engineering with 3 years’ relevant experience.

Project Scientist – III
- Age Limit: 45 years
- Posts: 04 (Delhi – 2, Lucknow – 1, Kolkata – 1)
- Salary: ₹78,000 + HRA
- Qualification: PhD in Science OR Master’s in Engineering with 7 years’ relevant experience.
Note: Experience in water quality assessment, industrial pollution abatement, GIS & Remote Sensing, and NABL-accredited labs will be preferred.
