About the Role:
The Respi CoE Analyst position in Mumbai is designed for motivated professionals in the pharmaceutical sector with strong analytical skills. As part of the team, you will develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods while ensuring GLP/GMP compliance in the development of respiratory products.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop new analytical methods for routine and stability samples following GLPs.
- Perform method validation, forced degradation studies, excipient compatibility, reverse engineering, and stability studies.
- Conduct cleaning validation and analysis of APIs, excipients, and packaging materials.
- Develop cost-effective, time-saving methods for new or existing products.
- Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot lab instruments like HPLC, GC, and IC.
- Document, interpret, and report analytical data as per GLP/GMP requirements.
- Provide base documents for MOA/COA preparation.
- Transfer analytical methods to other units and support cross-functional teams.
- Conduct literature studies to resolve regulatory and unit queries.
- Ensure laboratory safety, follow PPE guidelines, and manage chemical waste disposal.
Major Challenges:
- Overcoming delays due to the unavailability of instruments/columns.
- Managing rework from shifting project priorities.
Key Interactions:
- Internal: Formulation R&D, Loan Licence Team, Units.
- External: CROs for outsourced analysis, service engineers.

Education & Skills Required:
- M.Sc. (Analytical Chemistry) / M.Pharm.
- 2–4 years’ experience in pharmaceuticals with HPLC, GC, Dissolution tester, and DPI instruments.
- Knowledge of ICH, EMEA, and WHO guidelines.
