Job Description
As a Field Executive Trainee-Mechanical-DMD, you will be responsible for supporting day-to-day field operations in a manufacturing setup. The role includes monitoring and controlling equipment, ensuring safety compliance, assisting during emergencies, handling hazardous materials safely, and contributing to housekeeping and process improvements. You will work under the guidance of shift superintendents and panel executives to develop your technical and operational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Abide by safe operating procedures and act as a first responder during emergencies.
- Suggest safety improvements and handle hazardous materials safely.
- Support contract workmen in safe working practices and contribute to housekeeping.
- Monitor and control field equipment as per SOPs, SOCs, LLF checklists, and ODR instruments.
- Coordinate with shift superintendents/panel executives and report abnormal observations.
- Perform condition monitoring using portable instruments and minor troubleshooting.
- Collect and deliver samples for laboratory testing.
- Perform equipment handover/takeover for maintenance and ensure equipment health.
- Maintain shift logs, field logbooks, and LLF checklists.
- Follow guidelines like TQM, EFQM, QCC, and 5S.
- Serve as a member of the Auxiliary Fire Squad.
Qualifications
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. or Diploma in Chemical Engineering.
- No prior experience required (freshers may apply).
- Good housekeeping and safety awareness.
- Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance and field operations.
- Ability to maintain logs, checklists, and segregate waste properly.
- Willingness to learn and fulfill identified training needs.
