Job Description
IISER Tirupati invites applications from Indian nationals for the temporary position of Research Associate-1 under the project “Mass spectrometry imaging for cancer diagnosis”. The position is purely contractual and offers a unique opportunity to work in the fields of biochemistry, metabolomics, and mass spectrometry.
Research Jobs at IISER-T – Key Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality research in cancer diagnosis using mass spectrometry imaging.
- Support ongoing research in biochemistry, analytical chemistry, and metabolomics.
- Maintain laboratory records and data analysis, and assist with project-related documentation.
- Collaborate with the PI and research team for successful project execution.
Research Jobs at IISER-T – Qualifications

Essential:
- Ph.D. degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Life Sciences.
- Candidates who have submitted their thesis and are awaiting the award of a Ph.D. may also apply.

Desirable:
- Research experience in mass spectrometry, analytical chemistry, or biochemistry.
- Evidence of high-quality research during or after the Ph.D. program.
Fellowship
- ₹58,000 + 9% HRA (with Ph.D. certificate).
- ₹42,000 + 9% HRA (for candidates awaiting Ph.D. award with proof of thesis submission).
- Nominal research grant available.
Tenure

Initially for 1 year, with the option to extend for an additional 6 months based on a performance review.
Age Limit

Not more than 35 years as of the closing date (08.09.2025).
