Job Description
The Scientist (Consumer Product Analyst) will support fragrance analysis and reconstruction by translating technical requests into experiments, performing GC/MS analyses, troubleshooting equipment, and co-developing analytical methods. The role requires strong analytical chemistry skills and a passion for consumer product innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Translate technical management requests into practical experiments.
- Reconstruct unknown fragrances using analytical, olfactory, and supplementary data.
- Perform analyses on known fragrances in consumer products.
- Co-develop and document analytical methods for fragrance evaluation.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Organize lab supplies and ensure operational readiness.
- Support database development for analytical and fragrance reconstruction tools.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in GC/MS analysis.
- Preferred: experience in fragrance, flavor, FMCG, or forensic science.
- Knowledge of perfume ingredients and chemical behavior is an advantage.
- Skills in equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, or data handling.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
