Job Description
The Computational Chemist will be part of the Science & Technology (S&T) Physical Science team at Unilever R&D Bangalore. The role involves leveraging computational chemistry, AI/ML, and advanced materials science to develop breakthrough personal care innovations. This position contributes directly to Unilever’s mission of creating sustainable, personalized, and superior consumer experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with scientists to conduct modeling and simulation projects, sharing insights with stakeholders.
- Apply AI/ML and deep learning to material science research.
- Conduct laboratory experiments to validate hypotheses and support simulations.
- Streamline modeling workflows to improve efficiency and adoption of digital tools.
- Stay updated on advancements in materials modeling, simulation, and computational chemistry.
- Support external research programs and data-driven material science initiatives.
Qualifications
- B.Tech/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering or a Master’s in Chemistry/Physics/Material Science.
- Specialization or 3+ years’ experience in modeling, simulation, and ML.
- Strong expertise in quantum mechanics, molecular modeling, and statistical analysis.
- Hands-on experience with QSAR modeling, DFT, and experimental research in materials science.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
