Job Description
IIT Hyderabad is offering a PhD position for an industry-funded, collaborative soft matter research project titled “Adhesion of Silane-Based Adhesion Promoters on Wet Surfaces.” This position involves working with advanced multiphysics COMSOL and molecular dynamics simulations, as well as close collaboration with experimental scientists from Momentive Performance Materials’ Global R&D team in Bangalore.
Key Responsibilities
- Research the adhesion properties of silane-based adhesion promoters on wet surfaces.
- Perform multiphysics COMSOL and molecular dynamics simulations.
- Collaborate with experimental scientists for real-world material science problem-solving.
- Participate in multidisciplinary teamwork involving chemical engineering and related fields.
- Contribute to publications, reports, and presentations related to project outcomes.
Qualifications
- ME/MTech/MS (Research) in Chemical or related engineering disciplines.
- BE/BTech in Chemical or related engineering disciplines with a valid GATE score.
- Interest in complex fluids research.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
