Education & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Material Science.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- Basic knowledge of ISO9001 standards.
Skills
- Conflict resolution and negotiation.
- Operation of analytical instruments and understanding of polymer/plastics extrusion.
- Knowledge of organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, and flexible packaging applications.
- Strong analytical thinking and interpretation of test results.
- Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to change.
Basic Function
Responsible for the development of masterbatch products for packaging, electronic appliances, consumer goods, agriculture, and industrial applications to meet customer requirements and enhance business profitability.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Maintain a safe work environment in line with corporate standards.
- Perform masterbatch development per the Accolade stage-gate process and regional procedures.
- Support product development, localization, and monitor scale-up processes.
- Manage new product development projects and liaise with the extrusion lab team on quality issues.
- Conduct benchmark analysis on competitor samples and prepare reports.
- Support formula adjustments and modifications.
- Evaluate and register new raw materials.
- Prepare provisional technical data sheets and maintain retained samples.
- Ensure laboratory cleanliness and effective R&D record-keeping.
