Job Description
The Process Engineer will lead process design and development of inhalation/injectable formulations, ensuring Quality by Design (QbD), plant readiness, technology transfer, and manufacturing scale-up. This on-site role involves close collaboration with R&D, plant execution, and cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless transition from lab to commercial scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver robust inhalation/injectable product processes by integrating formulation and process development.
- Coordinate with manufacturing to ensure plant readiness and execution of trials.
- Apply QbD principles and design experiments for scalable formulations.
- Ensure process optimization, cost-effectiveness, and operational excellence.
- Prepare and review technology transfer documents, safety reports, and validation data.
- Troubleshoot plant-level issues and monitor experimental activities at vendor sites.
Qualifications
- Education: M.Pharm or M.Tech in Chemical Engineering
- Experience: 3–8 years in pharmaceutical companies focusing on injectable product development
- Technical Skills:
- Expertise in injectable/inhalation dosage forms
- Experience with formulation development, QbD, and technology transfer
- Strong knowledge of GMP/GLP
- Process scale-up and optimization expertise
- Behavioral Skills:
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- An analytical mindset and problem-solving abilities
