The BRIC-Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development (IBSD), an Autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, is dedicated to the conservation and sustainable utilization of bioresources for the socio-economic development of the North East region of India. As a genetic treasure trove of plants, animals, and microbial resources, this region is one of the world’s top 10 Biodiversity Hotspots. IBSD is inviting applications for Ph.D Junior Research Fellows (JRF) for the year 2025 in various research areas.

M. Sc with a minimum of 55% for general and OBC Category (50% for SC/ST/PH) in the above-mentioned subject areas (viz. Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Microbiology, Botany, Biochemistry
, Chemistry, Zoology, Fishery Sciences, and any other relevant branches).Candidates should have qualified for CSIR-UGC JRF, ICMR-JRF, ICAR-JRF, DBT DBT-JRF. Only
candidates fulfilling the criteria will be screened for interview. Reservations of seats: 15% for SC,7.5% for ST, 27% for OBC (non-creamy layer), and 3% for physically handicapped as per statutory norms.
Selection Procedure:Â If the number of JRF and INSPIRE qualified candidates is large, selection will be based on interviews.
