Job Description for Freshers Chemistry Jobs at Sphera
This role focuses on collecting and analyzing regulatory and chemical data from official sources. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for managing one of the world’s largest repositories of
regulated substances, supporting EHS compliance.Key Responsibilities
- Monitor legislation relevant to Regulatory Data Content
- Identify and obtain official regulatory source documents
- Analyze and incorporate new legislation into regulatory content databases
- Document analysis and interpretation using pre-defined technical templates
- Maintain and update data for over 230,000 chemical substances
- Build relationships with regulatory agencies and consultants
- Collaborate with internal teams for content quality and process improvements
- Attend weekly meetings with the Regulatory Data team
Qualifications for Freshers Chemistry Jobs at Sphera
Education:
- University degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Ecology, or a related field
- An advanced degree or professional certifications are considered a plus
Experience:
- 0–2 years working with EHS regulations or chemicals
- Experience using relational databases like MS Access or SQL
- Strong Excel and MS Office skills
Technical Skills & Other Requirements:
- Good understanding of chemical nomenclature and structures
- Knowledge of global chemical regulations, GHS preferred
- Experience authoring Safety Data Sheets is a plus
- Ability to classify chemicals based on physical and chemical properties
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); knowledge of other languages is a plus
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills
- Ability to adapt to change and work in a collaborative environment
