Job Description:
Indegene is seeking a Scientific Writing Lead to drive high-quality medical and scientific communication for global healthcare clients. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in life sciences and proven experience in developing and managing scientific content across various formats. This role combines leadership, strategic communication, and scientific rigor to deliver impactful materials aligned with regulatory and medical standards.
As a Scientific Writing Lead, you will serve as a subject matter expert and collaborate across functions to ensure scientific accuracy, client satisfaction, and content excellence. You will lead a team of writers, manage complex medical writing projects, and directly contribute to content creation for therapeutic areas and disease domains.
Key Responsibilities for the Scientific Writing job at Indegene:
- Act as the subject matter expert on medical communications content, including decks, monographs, FAQs, response documents, and more.
- Review, fact-check, and medically validate all MedComm deliverables.
- Conduct comprehensive literature searches and secure necessary copyright permissions.
- Build and lead a team of scientific writers; design and update training materials.
- Manage project scoping from client meetings to final submissions.
- Ensure top-tier client satisfaction by consistently maintaining high-quality standards and meeting stringent turnaround metrics.
- Collaborate with QA, editing, project management, and creative teams.
- Utilize tools like Veeva, CRM systems, and reference managers.
Qualifications for the Scientific Writing job at Indegene:
- Advanced degree: MBBS, MD, BDS, MDS, PharmD, PhD, or PG in Pharmacy/Life Sciences.
- 4–12 years of experience in medical/scientific communications, content creation, literature review, or publications.
- Strong command over scientific writing, referencing, and medical data interpretation.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Preferred: Experience with the Veeva platform.
