Position Details
Title of the Research Project: Chirality-Induced Spin Selectivity Effect: Unboxing a New Era for Room Temperature Spin Filters
Principal Investigator: Dr. Amit Kumar Mondal, Scientist-B
Name of the position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Number of positions available: One
Essential Qualification: Post Graduate degree in Chemistry or
Graduate/Post Graduate Degree in a Professional Course selected through a process described through any one of the following:- Scholars who are selected through National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET, including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE
- The selection process is conducted through national-level examinations by central government departments and their Agencies and Institutions, such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MoE, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER, and NISER.
Desirable Experience: Research experience in the synthesis of organic/ inorganic materials
Age Limit: Must not be over 28 years as on 31.07.2025
Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- (pm) + HRA as applicable

Duration: Initially for a period of one year, and may be extended based on the performance of the candidate and availability of funds
General Terms and Conditions:
- The position is purely on a temporary and contractual basis and renewable each year, subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funds for a maximum of three years/till the completion of the project. The position is co-terminus with the project.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Original documents must be presented along with self-attested photocopies at the time of the interview.
