BSc Chemistry/BPharm QC Job – Purpose

Perform sampling, execute and document the analysis of raw materials, packing materials, products assigned for testing and complete all the stability studies in order to ensure its compliance to the laid down quality

parameters and predefined specifications/standards and meet SRB targets.

BSc Chemistry/BPharm QC Job – Key Responsibilities

  • Sample Testing & Analysis
    • Perform analytical testing of raw materials, packaging materials, finished products, and water using calibrated instruments
    • Conduct stability and validation studies as per regulatory timelines
    • Review and approve test data to ensure specification compliance
  • Instrumentation & Compliance
    • Operate instruments (HPLC, UV, FTIR, etc.) following GLP and SOPs
    • Prepare and update documentation (SOPs, records, calibration logs) in CipDox/LIMS
    • Maintain lab safety, hygiene, and documentation integrity
  • Documentation & Reporting
    • Record real-time observations and results in approved templates
    • Ensure traceability and accuracy in test records and deviations
    • Review TDS and ensure completion prior to product release
  • Coordination & Collaboration
    • Liaise with departments like QA, Production, Engineering, and Stores
    • Communicate equipment needs, breakdowns, and supply issues promptly
    • Participate in performance dialogues and root-cause investigations

Performance Metrics

  • Number of product batches released daily: 3–4
  • Raw material tests conducted daily: 3–4
  • Stability studies per month: 10
  • OOS/OOT closures within: 7 working days
  • Target non-conformance rate: Below 1.5%

BSc Chemistry/BPharm QC Job – Eligibility Criteria

  • Educational Qualification: B.Sc. in Chemistry or B.Pharm
  • Work Experience: 0 to 3 years in pharmaceutical QC operations
  • Skills: Knowledge of LIMS, chromatographic techniques, SOP compliance, GMP practices
