Job Description
As a Chemist in R&D – Wear Resistant Coating, you will play a key role in supporting formulation development, product testing, and pilot-line execution. You’ll work hands-on with surface coatings, electrochemical processes, and scaling technologies, contributing directly to MKS Atotech’s innovation
in wear-resistant surface solutions.MSc Chemistry Job at MKS Atotech – Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute experimental designs (WBS, DoEs) under guidance.
- Develop, modify, and test chemical formulations for wear-resistant coatings.
- Operate and maintain pilot line systems for scale-up trials.
- Analyze, interpret, and report experimental results in a structured and timely manner.
- Maintain detailed documentation and laboratory notebooks.
- Perform troubleshooting and provide support during customer trials as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional R&D, manufacturing, and product teams.
- Ensure laboratory safety and maintain 5S standards.
MSc Chemistry Job at MKS Atotech – Skills You Bring:
- M.Sc. in Chemistry (Organic/Inorganic/Polymer/Physical Chemistry)
- 2–4 years of hands-on R&D experience in formulation chemistry or surface treatment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication, documentation, and teamwork capabilities
- Highly self-motivated and detail-oriented
MSc Chemistry Job at MKS Atotech – Preferred (Bonus) Skills:
- Practical knowledge of electroplating/electroless plating
