Job Posting: Project Associate-I Position
Title of the Project:

Project Associate–I (4 Nos); Project Assistant–II (5 Nos); Project Assistant–I (1 No)
Walk-in Interview Date: July 17, 2025
Location: CSMCRI – Marine Algal Research Station, Mandapam, Ramanathapuram District, Tamil Nadu
1. Project Associate-I Role:
Qualification: M.Sc in Botany/ Biotechnology/ Marine Biology/ Marine Science/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Oceanography/ Chemistry
Desirable Qualifications: Experience in seaweed cultivation and certification in Scuba
divingNature of Work: Selected candidates will be frequently traveling to Andaman/Lakshadweep islands for survey work and ready to work in open sea cultivation and a lab for seedling production
Emoluments: Rs . 31,000/- + HRA per CSIR guidelines for qualified candidates. Rs.25,000/- + HRA for others
Age Limit: 35 years as of the date of the walk-in interview. Age relaxation as per CSIR rules
2. Project Assistant-II Positions:
Qualification: B.Sc Biotechnology/Marine Biology/ Marine Science/ Microbiology/ Biochemistry/ Chemistry/ Botany (OR) 3 years Diploma in Marine/Chemical engineering
Desirable: Prior experience in seaweed cultivation in open sea and tank systems, and seaweed processing of different hydro-colloids at pilot-scale
Emoluments: 20,000/- per month + admissible HRA
Age Limit: 35 years as of the date of the walk-in interview. Age relaxation as per CSIR rules
3. Project Assistant-I Position:
Qualification: SSC or 10th plus ITI (Electrician/Fitter/Maintenance Mechanic (Chemical Plant)/Mechanic/Machinist)
Desirable: Experience in field work and outdoor tank cultivation of seaweeds
Emoluments: 18,000/- per month + admissible HRA
Age Limit: 35 years as on the date of the walk-in interview. Age relaxation as per CSIR rules
