Job Title: JRF (Junior Research Fellowship)

Job Description:

Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) for the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) Funded Project in the School of Advanced Sciences (SAS), FILENO. CRG/2023/008520, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).

Title of the Project:

“Naturally Derived Sugar-NHC Hybrid Ligands with Cost-Effective and Earth-Abundant Transition Metals: Synthesis and Studies on Sustainable Asymmetric Organic Transformations”

Qualification Required for VIT JRF Job Role:

M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry with a compulsory GATE / NET qualification. Non-NET/ GATE candidates are eligible for the Project Assistant post. M. Sc

with a minimum of 60% marks and Industry experience in organic synthesis are given preference.

Desirable (if any):

Candidates with strong knowledge of organic chemistry and experience synthesizing organic compounds and analyzing compound data by NMR and HRMS will be preferred.

Stipend:

Rs. 31,000/—+ HRA per month (for the first two years), Rs. 35,000/—+ HRA per month (for the third year) for non-NET/GATE candidates (as per Institute norms).
