R&D Technician Job Opportunity – Duties And Responsibilities
- Run new formulations in the lab based on local requirements, such as sealants and adhesives.
- Document the results of the tests in the form of a test report in a professional manner.
- Set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation needed for tests with minimal supervision.
- Work out additional technical data such as weatherability, chemical resistance/compatibility, and other relevant material properties.
- Assist in the scale-up from laboratory scale to full production.
- Place an order to the Test Centre and other internal or external units for specific tests.
- Recognize irregularities, product problems, etc, and communicate them properly.
- Consult with the Senior Technical and R&D Colleagues regarding lab projects/activities and provide appropriate follow-up.
R&D Technician Job Opportunity – Qualifications
- Education: B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry, Polymers, Sciences
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in R&D, Application Test, customer support, technical service in the relevant market field of Specialty Chemicals, Adhesives and Sealants ( Preferably Polyurethane / SMP / Epoxy / Acrylics ).
- Skills: Hands-on experience in running and testing formulations in lab, Strong collaborator and team player, Good communication in English.
- Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office, DoE, etc, Methodical and accurate documentation, Good verbal and written communication skills.
