Key Responsibilities:

Conduct laboratory and pilot plant experiments to develop and demonstrate product prototypes.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including SEAC, Regulatory, Patents, and Brand teams to lead specific project aspects.

Develop formulations that balance superior performance with cost efficiency and robustness at lab and pilot scales.

Use literature, patents, and supplier information to support formulation innovation.

Leverage digital tools to minimize experiments and accelerate project delivery.

Build technical capability within the team and contribute to Unilever’s Bright Future sustainability agenda.
Candidate Qualifications for R&D Associate – Hygiene & Surfaces Job:

Graduate degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Materials Science with first-class honors.

2-3 years of relevant product development experience preferred.

Strong fundamentals in chemical engineering and/or chemistry, especially surfactant and interfacial science.

Proficient with digital tools such as PLM, PHAROS, ELN, and LIMS.

Excellent communication, presentation, and data analysis skills.

Ability to multitask and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
